Still Poised 14 x 18 Dye on cloth 2007
|
 I always enjoy using a medium that I don’t use often. Dye on cloth is less forgiving than paint on canvas but I enjoyed playing with the textures and intensities of pigmentation.

 This painting departs from my typical works because I have two subjects. In addition, I do not normally try to paint children. But since this series is meant to depict a specific moment in time, I am trying to venture outside of my comfort zone.
