This is the first time to try a color other than blue in this style. Comparatively, the red has a different effect on the composition.

Very seldom do I venture into abstract painting but I feel that this type of painting is perfect for the situation in Darfur. For those of us a world away, we don’t really know what’s going on or how to grasp the situation. We have what we hear filtered through the media and through the oppressive government in Khartoum. This lack of clarity but the strong presence of feelings and opinions in relation to the situation is perfect for abstraction.
