Deranged

This painting was done in collaboration with an artist friend.  This photo represents the work that I have done before my friend added his own flare and used mixed media to add volume and texture.  The work is in progress as I have plans to add to what he has already done.  We plan to make a series of works in the future.

Here I'm focusing on texture and color.  The hair and the facial features are made of rolled plaster gauze.  My use of texture and depth help transfer a 2D work into a 3D work even though the painting itself is pretty flat.
