Turning out to be wholly different from the more straight-edged painting I had first intended it to be, this painting evokes the mood of being lost in one’s own world.  Reading , quite conducive to letting the imagination thrive, is the subject, and the colors’ intensity mirror the images one often creates when in this other world.

The only painting I’ve done of a child.  Both she and the butterfly represent innocence, curiosity, and mutual respect as they seem to have their own language between them.
