While the subject is human, he exudes a snake-like
quality. His glassy eyes
contribute to the cold-blooded feel that’s juxtaposed by the warmth
emanating from the hot colors of his face.
This is a study in multimedia, much like Roma.

Another example of working with color. Blues are most intriguing to me for skin tone, a love that has existed since first seeing works from Picasso’s Blue Period. The other colors are meant to tie in the subject’s Jamaican heritage. |
